Gary Bauman was my favourite math teacher (grade six). He Threw a piece of chalk at me (when he was trying to get me to pay attention) and he played net for the North-Stars and the Habs, briefly. He had a subtly faux style of presentation in class which made him seem scary, but he was a friend to every kid. He was very kind and fair. He chain smoked like an Andes Survivor and he drank like Bobby Clarke. This post is in honour of Gary Bauman:
